QuantiPhi MPC56x:
Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ is dedicated to answering frequently-asked user questions regarding the QuantiPhi MPC56x Blockset. Feel free to submit your own questions to: .

1. Which compilers are supported by your product? 2. Why isn't the location of my target settings file stored relative to my model? 3. Why doesn't the QuantiPhi entry in the Blocksets folder of the MATLAB start bar or in the Help Tree always appear?

Which compilers are supported by your product?

The Metrowerks MPC555 compiler is supported, but we are open to supporting additional compilers if customers have a need for them. Also, it is very easy for our customers to change those compiler-specific aspects of the code to support their compiler.

Why isn't the location of my target settings file stored relative to my model?

This was an important design decision for us. In the end, it was more important to be absolutely sure that the user is using the target settings file that they think they are using. If we make the path relative, there is a chance that another settings file will be used instead.

Why doesn't the QuantiPhi entry in the Blocksets folder of the MATLAB start bar or in the Help Tree always appear?

Save your path after running sqsetpath or sqstartup. This will make sure that MATLAB knows about the product paths as early as possible.
